Father Adrien Pierre, OMI
Father Adrien Pierre was born in Fort-Liberty, Haiti on the feast of St. Francis in 1965. As a member of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, he was ordained a priest in 1998 in Cayes, Haiti and has pursued graduate studies in Theology and Pastoral Work with Youth. Those studies were done in Haiti, in French Creole, in Dominican Republic, in Colombia-Bogotá, South America in Spanish, and in New York in English. During the summer Fr. Adrien is the Superior General of the International Community of Seminarians who live at Our Lady of Refuge; he is also the coach of a soccer team whose members have come from Haiti, Ukraine, Lebanon and France. In his time at Our Lady of Refuge, Fr. Adrien has ministered full time to both the Spanish Speaking Community and his own Haitian People; all this while ambitiously studying for a Masters degree in Pastoral Theology at Fordham University.
